Time Smiles

Time Goes By

Kids smile 400 times a day on average. Adults only about 20.1 Between 50 and 100 if they are bright minded.2

This is the Voice in Oliver’s head. My kind exists beyond time and space, yet we do understand the concept of time. But time is not made up of seconds. It is made up of special moments.

What, then, if we measured time not in seconds, but in smiles?

After all, it is the end of a year…

A Million Things From Now

A million smiles from now, where will my gaze be aimed?
A million smiles from now, will my soul be elsewhere claimed?
A million smiles from now, is my heart still pure and true?
A million smiles from now, how many did I smile at you?

A million tears from now, did they drown the world in pain?
A million tears from now, does my heart still yearn in vain?
A million tears from now, what comfort did I find for me?
A million tears from now, did I cry them all for thee?

A million thoughts from now, did I live? Did I just grind?
A million thoughts from now, do I at last have peace of mind?
A million thoughts from now, did I invent myself anew?
A million thoughts from now, do they still revolve around you?

To a million smiles and special moments. Best shared with a special someone.
